Travel Advisory issued by the United States Centers concerning CORONAVIRUS outbreak in China

Following the Level 3 travel advisory issued by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) concerning the recent Coronavirus outbreak in China, the Government of The Bahamas has implemented a travel ban, restricting all travel from China to The Bahamas. Effective immediately, any non-resident regardless of nationality who has visited China in the last 20 days will be denied entry into the country.
All Bahamian residents returning to The Bahamas will be strictly quarantined and monitored for development of symptoms for the duration of the incubation period with a maximum of 14 days.
The same applies as per to entry into the United States.
THEREFORE, the following procedure is going to be in place starting on Thursday February 6th, 2020 and will continue until authorities confirm the end of this requirement.
1. Every Port MUST ask every passenger at check in, if they have been in China for the last 20 days, and also verify the stamps in the passport for any recent visit to China.
2. Agents must provide each passenger 18 years old and above a short questionnaire which they must fill out and sign, at each Port of embarkation (except for day trippers that will only have to fill it out once upon departure in FLL). This questionnaire is attached to the email, to be printed and have it available at the Terminals in our three (3) Ports. After completed and signed, it must be kept for our records.
